Decorated Sugar Skulls

‘ Boiled sugar that is molded in clay skull molds are the norm but the few that decorate in fine detail take center stage. Sugar skulls are to be kept as folk art - not to be eaten. ‘ Link to: Decorated Sugar Skulls

Those are mexican skulls made every year for the “Day of the Death” celebration, which is a huge and amazing mexican tradition. And yes, you are allowed to eat the skulls, they are delicious!!
The celebration takes place the 1st and 2nd of November, and one of the best places to see it is in Patzcuaro, Michoacan. Google it, you’ll be amazed
